Students from the Rockport High School will be giving presentations at the Rockport Public Library on Monday, May 20th. Many of these students have been studying local history in Mrs. Herrmann’s Cape Ann History class at the high school. Junior Anya Aase will be presenting about the Wreck of the Hesperus. Lee Orr, also a Junior, is presenting about Rockport’s history with liquor smuggling. Sophomore Ben Porter has been studying the impact of the construction of Rte 128 on Cape Ann. If you are interested in local history, come and hear from these students!

This presentation is a part of the Sandy Bay Historical Society’s local history series, which takes place each Monday at the Library. This week’s presentation is at 7:30. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. Check out the poster for more information.
